Done and Done
Ok jerks I am done. Finally. Geesh. The stupid sun has barely come out AT ALL here this year and of course it decided to show itself as soon as Harry Potter was released. Damn Wizards.
I personally thought the book rocked. It was RAD. It was scary! There will be some little kitties out there with nightmares for sure. Turns out Ron is totally gay….I KNEW it from like the first book. He and Vold-e-mort totally make out in this book and you can say Ron was under a ‘spell’ if you want but I think he liked it. Hermione dies in chapter two. (thanks for ruining that part HO) If you ask ME this is why Ron decides to come out of the closet. The wizards and witches all learn how to masturbate without even touching themselves…I only mention this part because I found it odd. If you were a witch or a wizard would this not be one of the first things you would make sure you learned? Basically everyone either dies, stars in soft core porn or they turn to the dark side. It isn’t called the DARK SIDE in the Potter books though dudes, the bad guys are called DEATH EATERS. I applied to be one but they said I was too nice, not a witch and knew too many ninjas. Fucking jerks.
The main thing I learned reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is that I will never ever go to midnight madness again, EVER. I will go back to early online ordering. There was no madness. There was midnight. BUT NO MADNESS. I don’t even like PEOPLE or KIDS and I was TOTALLY excited to see a whole bunch of jerks decked out in customs, I thought I might learn how to make a couple of potions. But no, my book was barely on sale, there were hardly any people there, I was tired and had a decafe coffee. Ewwwwwww sooooo fun, soooooo fun. Stop it…I am having TOO MUCH FUN! I prepared myself for days, talked to myself - told myself I wouldn’t be mean and make fun of people in line, wouldn’t stick my tongue out at kids and yell “Vold-e-mort HATES YOU!” But it was so lame that when the dude, next to me in line said that his favourite book EVER was the Da Vinci Code I ALMOST laughed out loud and punched him. That WOULD HAVE been the highlight but I restrained myself and days later said to Adam, “dude did you hear the total dork in line next to me that said his favourite book was the Da Vinci Code…he needs to read more books man”. I LOVED the Da Vinci Code. But my favourite BOOK?? Read more jerk face.

Is any of that true? Because if so I’m seriously going to have to have a gander at that book. I usually only read rock biogs (Neil Young being the one I’m going through at the moment) and avoid fiction.

I hate Harry Potter with all my heart. I hate it more than terrorism, the holocaust, the guy who raped one of my ex-girlfriends, poverty, I hate it more than I hate hate itself, and I have hated hate a lot ever since being torn up with it after this retarded chimp of a guy raped one of my ex-girlfriends thinking she was in love with him, even though she was only 12.
Not because of its success, or because it’s so commercial, or so non-literary, or so hyped, or because grown-ups who could engage in so much more settle for such mediocrity, for they can all go to hell anyway. (No offence.) I hate it because people recommend it to me. And these people uniformly know nothing about my tastes in books; in fact, usually know nothing about taste in books in general.
Reading is a specialised expertise - I would hardly recommend a snack of Doritos to chef Delia Smith if I met her, for example, nor sing the praises of supermarket plonk to a somellier, nor advise porn stars on the best lube, or etc etc etc, because quite simply, I have a reasonable and balanced grip on reality. Anyone recommending HP to me will be hunted down and shot, incidentally.

See I do visit, I just don’t usually comment. Thanks for the synopsis of harry potter, I’ve never read one and have intention of starting now (sorry) but it’s nice to know the jist of why peoples lives stop for a book, though i still don’t understand the obsession.
