just call me classy

this weekend is the GREY CUP, Canadas TRY at having a Super Bowl.
if memory serves the last time Vancouver hosted this event was in 1999 - the Lions werent in it. i refuse to look it up; i think it was Calgary vs Saskatchewan.
ive never been a very big football fan. especially the CFL. when i used to go to Lions games the cheerleaders/dancers were about all i looked forward to seeing. but then after seeing them a few times i realized that this is Canadian football and these girls are the ones left over - that arent good enough dancers to really make it, and arent particularly hot enough or tall enough to model.
sorry, but it is impossible for me to look at a BC Lions dancer and think WOW shes really made it, i wish i was a dancer. [id rather be a stripper] ive found it almost embarrassing watching them, at times id just bury my head in my hands thinking, WHY, WHY! and WHAT do these woman honestly think they are doing down there?
last night i was strolling home via the city streets and i looked across to see what i originally thought were girls here for a stripper convention or possibly representing some new escort service, until i realized they were the Argos dancers on the way to their ho-tel.
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. had they of been demonstrating some class and not dressed as if they were heading straight onto the field for an actual game im sure i would of just said to myself hey look, the Argos dancers, but instead i said to myself holy fuck what a group of skanks and whores.
when athletes such as actual football players, hockey players, basketball players (of either sex) travel they travel in suits. they represent with class and style.
even in high school when id travel through the summer with my track team we had RULES. you didnt wear your skimpy little team running outfit OFF the bus, you wore your team track suit until you hit the track.
im not [yet] used to having a camera, i really should have taken a photo. i just dont agree with these women traveling in their skimpy on field get ups. the ONLY thing they all had on was the team bomber jacket. one or two ladies were wearing blue track pants that were obviously meant to go with the jackets. id like to think these ladies actually care and respect their team.
i feel very strongly about representing. for example, when ive worked in corporate offices ive never walked in, even on a casual friday with ANYTHING even remotely NOT corporate appropriate. i also dont look at casual friday as a day to bust out your weekend wear; i see it as an opportunity to show your employer you have enough class and brains to pair a nice dark wash jean or pant with heals and a sweater or blazer. basically, just lose the suit jacket. when people walk in wearing 80s sweat shirts with Disney characters or faded low rider jeans and their thongs sticking out it kills me. ill admit ive worn runners BUT only when ive been training and injured thus i needed the support. there are some exceptions.
these women, in my opinion did not in any way shape or form represent what is supposed to be one of Canadas prime sporting events with any kind of class. how can they expect to be taken seriously?
i hope the Lions girls and the Argos girls get in a huge scrap during the parade and pull each others hair out and rip each others outfits off and have to be restrained by Pam Anderson. THAT would be HOT and worth watching. and really wouldnt stem far from the lack of class already demonstrated.
ill give the Argo dancers ONE thing and one thing only your dance outfits are better colors than ours - but i would have known that even if they’d all been wearing the track suits.
