Death by Stereo
Last night we watched The Lost Boys. I had been bugging Adam to watch it for a while. I love The Lost Boys, I love Keifer Sutherland. I have seen that moo-vie so many times yet I have not watched it in years and years and years; but have been talking about watching it since 24 started four seasons ago. It was awesome! I still knew the words to all the songs, I busted out the air guitar and went to town singing loudly and sometimes incorrectly (with the excuse of: man they really cut these songs up when they put them in moo-vies) making Adam laugh uncontrollably whilst pumping his fists and shouting Yes, Yes.
A limited edition of The Lost Boys is available on DVD. I want it bad. I really did not remember it being that cheesy and I thought my back was going to be sore from all the bad dancing I had to do just to keep up with Jamie Gertz. Holy Crap, watching Jason Patrick sift through his very limited array of facial expressions reminded me of times when I have concentrated specifically on Elizabeth Hurley’s performance in Austin Powers. I laughed hard. Today I am still singing lyrics from The Lost Boys sound track that I lent to Natalie Zavaglia in the 12th grade and never got back and have not heard since. I totally got my Keifer fix; I was impressed that I was able to separate his roll in The Lost Boys from that of his Jack Bauer character. You have come a long way baby!
I guess I can’t write anything about The Lost Boys without mentioning Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. So there I mentioned them. When I was younger that moo-vie was a babe fest I remember drooling incessantly with girlfriends over all of the undead and the Corey’s. I almost bought Goonies the other day. Adam said Stand By Me is better than Goonies, I said whatever lets buy them both. Stand By Me is another moo-vie with a kick ass soundtrack. Oh my gawd I can’t believe I forgot until this very moment that Keifer is in that moo-vie too! It is going on my ‘DVD’s to buy’ list NOW!!
