We were watching [i]The Office[/i] last night with Steve Carell and there was a scene with a bachelor party and a stripper and for the first time since the week before we got married [in August] I was like- HEY you had a stripper at your bachelor party and I totally forgot, I just remembered it right now HOLY it really doesn’t matter ‘cause shit man five months later I really seriously did not remember or care, who knew.
I remember being SO bent out of shape that he was having a ‘dancer’ and talked to and whined to NUMEROUS people and girlfriends over the issue, and I picked fights with Adam over it. I KNEW there was no way out of it because regardless of the fact that Adam is not your stereotypical construction worker he is a construction worker none the less and the two go hand in hand- they were getting him one and there was nothing I could do about it. I think if I remember correctly the stripper was cancelled at one point but then I felt guilty and said fuck it get her.
I tried to not ask too many questions, we got home from our stags about fifteen minutes apart by chance but he told me it was more embarrassing for him than anything. After watching it last night even though I know I’ve seen lap dances before I can see how it could be and I’ve had one - you know I even had to tell her to STOP TALKING. Actually NO I never told her to stop talking, I just wanted to…but it went like this, my friend bought me a dancer I picked her I picked the one with the smallest tits, she took me into the ‘area’ not the champagne room though and started doing her dance and I’ll never forget her asking me where I worked and I said such and such I’m a Senior Secretary all the while thinking – seriously just shut up and wave that snapper at me honey when she said “OH that is such a grown up job!”. I never want another lap dance.
The moral of the story is who cares if your man has a stripper at his stag unless you shouldn’t be marrying him anyway because anywhere between a day to five months you won’t even remember it. It means nothing and because of you she probably gets to go to college now, everybody wins.
