i'll admit i was not a Cash fan growing up. my parents didn't listen to him...hence my love of john denver, gordon lightfoot....i dare to go on. but once i started to work in music which was back in 1995 i discovered him and have grown into a bigger fan over the years.

i am sure that not every guy that talks to me is hitting on me but i have definitely been guilty of thinking that before.

I bought a Johnny Cash album once when I was in college, before it was cool (again) to like him and was mercilessly ribbed for it. I remember when no record company would sign him to their label. So I was a fan in the lean years.

It's amazing (but wonderful) to know that he's cool again. But to me, he always was.

------

maja: I'm old, but not too old. Creepy, but not too creepy. Still, I hate that every time I attempt to talk with ANY WOMAN under the age of 35, she assumes I'm hitting on her. Which I'm not.

I've been plagued with by awkward teenaged guys giving me looks that they think are subtle and attractive lately. It's irritating and sad at the same time.

I'm sorry it's so irritating to you, C. I never get flirted with, so I'm a little jealous - in theory. In practise, I'd rather not have idiots chatting me up.

i have gotten a lot of "hey momma"s. from creepy older men. and it's never said to the tune of a black eyed peas song, so it neither makes me shake my rump or reply with much more than an eyeroll. i'm neither nice or polite to THOSE men, i consider them total 'tards, to think that a girl walking with a baby in a stroller will instantly stop, have a conversation and maybe run away to vegas with them.

keep taking the viagra, guys.
