I am obsessed with matching sheets = Gus is spoiled
I wouldn’t call it a problem at all but all the sheets on my bed must match. At all times. There are almost no exceptions, except cat barf, if cat barf leads to sheets not matching it is ONLY because there is no change for laundry. This is for sure my parents fault, they gave me my first duvet and matching sheet set and cover the first Christmas that we were up north, from that day forward my bed has seen many a sheet set, MANY. In four years and one month Adam has already been a party to five different sets and he only had a hand in picking one and a half. Right now we are switching back and forth between brown and black and brown and yellow. The yellow sheet set is left over from the last cover that is not in the rotation. What does this all mean? Nothing really. I just like sheet sets and this post will contain photos of our sheet set, the one that Adam had the hand in picking. I compromised on pillows, we only have four.
You see, Gus is lazy as cats are and there are days when I have made the entire bed with Gus still on it and it cracks me up every time I actually do it and she doesn’t jump off the bed with all the pulling and tucking and folding and it has to be PERFECT! GET YOUR PAW PRINTS OFF MY BED. I’m not that bad, but maybe I am I fluff it constantly. I have considered filming it, I know exciting, but for serious it is adorable when it happens. And then there are the days when the wee Greeper won’t move.
I got the bottom all straight and dragged her around, Adam uses more covers than me because he is bigger.
You can see the protest in her eyes. But I put the pillows on giving her some time to get off the bed because she is obviously situated in such a way that I can not make it around her.
Ugh. She was NOT moving. Sigh. I had to lift her off. OF COURSE she meowed like a baby.
Gus is back, in her happy place, probably thinking about having claws again to rip my face off with and how no matter what she will sleep in that exact spot at 4am.
WHAT A POSER. She must be trying out for Canada’s Next Top Cat.

Today is the day for posting adorable cat pictures. I put up three more of Dude, one with his tongue extended to show off for Gus. He can show her what two fixed cats can do (cackles madly). Also, matched sheets? How is that crazy? Is there any other way to be? Seriously? Is there a place where the sheets

If I had the money, I’d like nice matching sheet sets too. I have one set of red sheets, one mismatched set, and one floral set that Graham’s mom donated to us when we moved out to Van. It’s pretty ugly. I love going to stores like Home Outfitters and looking at stuff for various rooms. I can’t afford to buy anything, but it’s still fun to look.
Gus is so cute!

I always have matching sheets too…& I’ve developed a dangerous habit of loving expensive sheets too…really, why are the good ones so damn expensive?
I love how cats show there mood so well…especially when they are pissed off.

Cool.

I as well have always had sheet sets that match and agree that they are the only way to go…Chad is currently sleeping on a pillow case that is ripped to shreds because changing it would would mean miss matched sheets and we havent got new ones yet…haha

Something tells me that when I move and get my big, new, glorious bed, I am going to become obsessed with beautiful, matching sheets too. I’m getting so domestic and into interior decor these days…I don’t know what’s happening to me!

I love matching sheets too! I’m obsessed with white ones.. I love white sheets, but if I had a dark coloured kitty like Gus, I’d probably have to forgo them. Or get a bedspread *bleurgh*
I love it when cats refuse to move from their spot. It’s amazing how much staying power they possess.

she’s cute as hell - i’d bet she is soft, i would like to give her a big hug and kisses on her kee kee forehead.

she is soft but not as soft as she used to get, she has of course adjusted to the vancouver climate and does not bring in near the winter coat she used to up north.
she is getting a TAD [understatement] bitchy in her ‘old’ age and she may bite your face off if you tried to kiss her. she never ever used to bite me and she does now it pisses me RIGHT OFF.

I wish I had matching sheets. It’s well within my means to go out and buy a decent set but I don’t. I’m not sure why. I keep writing up lists of good, practical gifts like matching bedsheets every birthday and holiday in the hopes that people would buy me stuff that I want and would use, but no, it never happens.
One of my cats loves pouncing all over the bed and clawing holes in the sheets while I’m making it. The other sits like Gus. Usually I just pick up the cat and whatever blanket she’s on and move her to the side that’s already made.

good to know i’m not alone in making the bed with pets on it. some days if my dog looks extra special comfy, i just don’t make it up until he gets off. gus looks so cute and i can see that she is spoiled rotten

You’re going to hate this. I have a fitted sheet and my duvet cover and THAT’S IT. No top sheet. And they don’t match. Although they are of similar colour scheme. Does that count? My fitted sheet is made of that T-shirt material (so soft!) and it’s blue, and the duvet is flannel and it’s cream, which matches my curtains. Terrible.
Most of my bedclothes are some form of blue and white and green. So yeah, I guess I do have some kind of thematic thing going on. No skirt though. It’s a flat, full frame, unfoldable futon.
