I didn't like it either and kept waiting for the good part to begin. I really hated the ending. I was disappointed by the hype and now seriously distrust hype. You I love, though.

I think I've had this book since it came out and STILL can't get through it. Thanks for helping me make the decision to NEVER finish it...I have better things to read on my shelves.

I found the most irritating thing was the fact that they wasted 150 pages on each of the pregnancies. The first time I thought it was sad, but by the fourth I was really agonizingly bored. That and I got pissed off when she didn't want to cure her daughter. I would want to. The thought of having one's daughter turning up naked and alone at random in back alleys and stuff is scary.

i remember the moment when you said we werent doin it for book club, cause i thought im never reading that bastard! but then later i thought about reading it for curiosity sake, to see how bad it got. but that was fleeting. i just felt like i was being talked down to.
that time travlin babies thing made me laugh to beat the band tho.
